For it is by grace you have been saved (sōzō), through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.
Rosemary M. Wixom said “As individuals we are strong. Together, with God, we are UNSTOPPABLE.” What God has willed and planned cannot be stopped, even if it seems impossible to us. This series looks at some of the most impossible-seeming stories in the Bible. Why would we spend the rest of 2017 looking at these? So that as we go into 2018, we know that, no matter the situation, no matter the trials that come our way, we have an UNSTOPPABLE GOD. “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31
SERVING AT DINNER Please remember that to go on our Creation trip this year, you must serve at least once somewhere besides fundraisers for our group. The first to come up this year is serving at a lunch fundraiser for the church that Cameron and Audrey attend Sunday mornings on Saturday, December 2. It’s just like Dinner Night Out, but you won’t need to prepare your own table or anything. They just need you to help serve food from 10:30-12:30. The church is Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church.
Wednesday the 29, the SENIORS are taking over Sōzō! This is a reminder to you seniors to start planning, and we will be in contact in our group chat. But for everyone else, it’ll be a fun night allowing the seniors to take control!
CAROLING Don’t think we forgot about our annual Caroling trip! This year it will be Friday, December 8th, and we will be Caroling out of the BREAM house through Pheasant Ridge. We will talk more about this next time we meet, but ask off work that night, and start practicing singing Rudolf!
